Welcome to Center for Large Scale Integrated Optimization & Networks.
The mission of CLION is the development of innovative solutions
to large-scale networks and optimization problems in various
defense and civilian applications, and in biomedical
research areas. CLION is based on an interdisciplinary and
diverse research team comprising University of Memphis
faculty and students including Mathematical Sciences (MSCI),
Computer Sciences (CS), Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering
(EECE), as well as external collaborators and
agencies including FedEx, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL),
Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), National
Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health
(NIH), Army Research Office (ARO), and NASA. CLION provides
University of Memphis students with research expertise in
cutting-edge technologies, which provides them with a
competitive advantage in the job market. CLION aims at becoming
a regional and national center of excellence in large-scale
networks and advanced intelligent optimization, capable of
attracting and supporting large size multi-institution and
multiuniversity research projects, and facilitating the
commercialization of the products.
